Jack Pine Cabin

Set alongside a forested river, the Jack Pine Cabin is truly one with its surroundings. Striking and extensive use of on-site materials in the construction include fallen pine trees milled for cladding, granite boulders that meld together the interior and exterior spaces, basalt polished for interior finishes, and concrete aggregated by crushing surrounding rock. The cabin takes sustainability even further, using a ground source heat exchange system and solar heated hot water.
